One week at home.

Here is my quick update. We have great improvements. Today was the best so far. The big kids had dentist appointments so we were up and out of the house early, Emily did great and had fun at the dentist office. There is a big play house which she actually got out of the stroller to investigate. One of the dentists speaks Spanish so she talked to Emily and was able to actually look at her teeth happily. Emily wasn't supposed to have a check up, but the dentist said if she could take a look to see if there was anything we needed to address right away it would be good to check. She didn't see anything which is good news.

We then stopped at church to say "hi" to some friends. Emily let me carry her and then she ran and ran and ran. It is probably the most exercise she has ever had. She was happy and silly and was very friendly to everyone. And of course showed everyone her shoes. There are many people that speak Spanish so Emily was very comfortable.

It is amazing to see the changes in just a couple days. She says"Abby" very clearly and says "mommy" but looks at Evan. We are working on that. She clearly understands so much already in English. She is acting more and more like a two year old. she likes to throw things, most everything. She loves to give the dog treats. She is really liking the pool now and doesn't want to get out.

We are seeing her personality coming out, now that she is more comfortable here. She is funny and it is so nice to see her laugh.

Well, I guess that is all for now. We are getting more sleep and getting back into normal routine. School starts Monday, so without the big kids we will have lots of bonding time, but I will miss them and their help. They have been such a help especially with playing and being silly.

Thank you so much for your prayers we see the results.

More later, Anne.

So glad to hear she's warming up. I got a smile out of her at Evan's open house!! Course I was laughing at her throwing her doll--bad reinforcement. She is such a cutie and I'm so glad that in a few short days, she is acclimating nicely. Keep up the great work.
